Bar Code Reader for Universal Machine Interface The UMI Mx3800 Bar Code reader connects to the Mx1100 and Mx1050 via COM2 and decodes CODE39 and other bar code formats automatically. Power for the unit comes from the Mx1100/1050 via pin 6. The unit also works with the Mx1150 on COM4.
Installation: Shown is a picture of DB-9 Female (Plug) which is typically needed to connect to our Mx1100. A DB-25-Male (or Pin) is used to connect to a Fanuc CNC machine tool. Note that serial ports on a PC are usually DB-9 Male these days and the DB-25 is a parallel printer port. ** The Mx3800 draws 5 VDC up to 0.35A
